I have been doing buisiness with Allessi holsters for some time I like my iwb and ankle holsters and just looked at their site
That make some nice shoulder rigs 3 or 4 different styles they quality is second to none old school hand made with the good stuff they aren’t cheap but you get what you pay for

I got mine from MidwayUSA about a month ago for $87 before shipping. Looks like they're still in stock, but went back up to $124. Don't have the holster in front of me to look right now to see the actual model, but u can select it in the drop menu. It list the pp, ppk, ppks separately, but its all the same holster.

Excellent! Thank you for this reference to Alessi. I agree, they look like very nice, well-made holsters, although their so-called 'speed break' (the metal snap retainer that travels through the trigger guard), is a bit troubling. Its not only close to the trigger itself, the snap appears to be made of metal, and over time, with repeated use, I would imagine that it could/would scar the inside edge of the front of the trigger guard?

Schwome88,

Thanks again! Yeah, if you're using it with a Walther, I'd imagine its the X16 Model of Bianchi that you have there, and as you've said, it looks like MidwayUSA does have them in-stock, but the price has definitely jumped up a bit. Its certainly something for me to consider. ;)

Xlnt! Yeah, there's some pretty cool options there.

Actually, I'm a fairly big guy (6'4", 275 lbs.), and I hadn't given it much thought before now, but with an almost 60" chest, I'll bet that I just might have a problem with fit on any of those production models that ship right off the shelf. I suspect I'd be better-off looking at Kirkpatrick or Alessi or some of the other 'custom' manufacturers.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone for your suggestions here. Its been very helpful.

Back from the archives with a shoulder rig. I don't know if the 2018 holsters are still available. I have a shoulder holster for a 1911 and don't care for it, so I don't wear it. For one thing, you're kinda stuck with your jacket on unless you want to show it. Second, I have to use two hands to draw it, as it migrates too far back so I have to use my weak hand to shift the holster around where it can be drawn. I seldom, like never wear it any longer.

The executive is called “Galco ex204 Miami classic” thats the model on the JB website and as Colt said they are fantastic, my PPK/s 380 and PPK .22 fit in there perfectly. last year there were 2 for sale on Ebay….I had to have one, mint, barely used, I got lucky (not my wallet). purchased before 2 other galco shoulder holster new and still in box laying somewhere, the regular classic and “light”, the later a suede version……..all beautiful and nice but the executive ex204 is special…you don’t feel it….beautiful brass clip, leather is so smooth and holster fit is top quality,…….if thats the one you want search once a week on eBay…..you will find one and while patiently waiting save up in the mean time…..or maybe not if you have the dough….good hunting…

That's almost rubbing it in but it looks perfect. I'll find one eventually. You can visibility see how snuggly it fits and there isn't a whole bunch of unnecessary leather on the holster part. The shoulder strap is top quality calf hide. I'm growing grey hairs thinking about it.

:geek: ….the intend was to seduce your mind to only focus on the ultimate holster, this is it……anything else is a compromise….something you have to decide you are willing to make…….all joking aside…..it is the perfect holster……if I see one I let you know.

It is true, I've been trying to figure out how to settle. There can be only one, ultimate holster.
Kindly appreciated.

Galco offers a half-harness and buy a thumb-breal holster for their Miami Classic and you have a close copy of the Exective.
Beat me to it.

My guess is one of the reasons the Executive was discontinued is due to the absence of a thumb break. Relying on a tension screw for friction retention alone on a horizontal mount holster subject to its wearer bending over gets dicier over time due to use, stretch, climate, not to mention pistol wipedowns. The rig is a Bond fan favorite (I briefly owned one) because it was one of the few commercially available screen-accurate Bond shoulder holsters.

My PPK rig is a black Galco Miami Classic with the addition of Galco's 2 inch shoulder straps, which improves weight distribution and makes it look closer to one of the screen-worn designs.

I located my lightly used Galco Miami Classic (P7-M8/M13 model) on Gun Broker.

Took over a year of searching and cost over double MSRP.

Worth it though, super comfy way to carry 4lbs of gun/mags/ammo.
Literally disappears while wearing......

The wider straps definitely make a difference. I'm not fond of the plastic piece that holds the X together but there is a valid point about the lack of a thumbstrap for the executive. This rig you could get into an unexpected fist fight and not lose the gun. I wish they would remake it with one though. I've scoured the internet for days now but I could only find one that was heavily used. Not a good look for something which is supposed to be bought new for a premium custom fit.

Bond gets in fights all the time and runs and jumps of buildings…….
:)
Seriously, ask yourself what the intended purpose is of “executive”………I have multiple holsters…I carry the executive in situations where I would draw WAY before the likelihood of a fist fight occurs……..or I be running or chasing people…….this is not a duty holster In my opinion. In that case I would go with @DeutschlandUberAlles miami classic, one I also have and ensure you use the straps to tie it down to your pence so you can run and fight with it AND have some extra mags. mine new in box!!!

Well, that's my point. The executive looks great for daily carry but it does have its downsides. Which is why I said an Unexpected fist fight. If something is sketchy the gun comes out but what about when there isn't time to draw? I'm not gonna stop to pull my gun out while being shot at and if I'm about to get jumped I'm gonna run or get swinging. The thumbstrap or lack thereof in this case being a serious issue as any great deal of movement will shake it loose. My most ideal thought would be a "double" executive built like a X rig with the other side for the mags but with monolithic thumbstrap. Like out of the same piece and not just an additional strap mounted. Then you could do all kinds of excessive moving around but with top shelf Italian calf hide and have mag pouches
