I've had my P99c QA for about a month now and it is my first handgun. It's also the exact one I have wanted to get since I was finally able to choose between full size/compact and AS/QA. Although if the AS was all that the store had when it was time to buy I would have been fine with getting it. I was torn enough that my QA preference wasn't a deal breaker. I too had read the majority seems to prefer the AS. My thought is that for those who want a DA/SA trigger it is leaps and bounds the best one ever conceived. This fact naturally gets a lot of attention on forums. The QA to me is similarly the best trigger of it's kind especially if your not in love with the trigger flipper on the PPQ or Glock like me. My trigger was a bit heavy on pull at first but has lightened up nicely after around 50rds and many, many dry fires at my TV set

My only complaint has been the price and availability of factory mags of which I now have 3 compact and 6 full size but have settled for a combination of Walther, S&W, and MR Baby Eagle mags. That was based less on the savings and more on what I was simply able to find. I even have 4 ProMag but I don't really count those and would only use them at the range to see how bad they really are. I picked up a mag extension to use with the full size mags which is pretty nice but I wouldn't mind using them without it as long as I only insert full sizers with the slide closed to avoid accidental internal damage.
Holsters are a whole separate issue as I've got about 7 varieties before I narrowed down to two IWB and one ankle holster that I will use. The Galco kingtuck is my daily go to in the 2-2:30 position. With the holster cant the muzzle does not point at any part of me but at the ground one foot to the side and back of me. In this position it is completely concealed even with the full size/mag extension. Regardless of how I bend over or reach up I never print or become exposed at all and do not need to constantly make sure my shirt isn't riding up. I carry at work where it would make both coworkers and clients uncomfortable to know I had a gun on me. And I am constantly up and down from a chair and leaning this way and that with no fear.
All in all I'm totally pleased with this pistol in every way and very glad to have gotten one before they get too hard to find new or the price/value starts to rise. One benefit of a discontinued pistol of this level of excellence is that it's value will surely hold and most likely rise as the years pass. But I'll be keeping mine forever so STOP looking at it like that!!
