I'm just curious if anyone has shot either of the two new "Match" pistols, and how they compare to a regular full size PDP?

Since others have commented about the steel frames, I’ll add a comment about the polymer match version…

I don’t think the polymer match version is worth it at all. You’re basically paying a price premium for the slide cuts. The weight difference is negligible as compared to a regular slide. So if you already have a standard PDP, save the money and don’t buy a polymer match version.

for comparison a standard PDP 5” slide with optic weighs EXACTLY the same thing as a q5 match slide with optic, even though the Q5 has lightening cuts in the slide. A standard PDP slide weighs LESS than a Q5 slide with iron sights, due to the weight of the rear sight plate on the Q5. So the standard PDP slide is already an improvement over the last generation competition model. The PDP match slide, while weighing less, doesn’t make enough difference to justify the price, IMO.
