I'd suggest staying away from weapon mounted lights that attach to the rail directly, as all of the ones that I know of from that era use incandescent bulbs. They had a habit of burning out, especially if the light was on and something impacted the pistol. I'd imagine that replacement bulbs would be impossible to find now.

I'd be much more interested in a rail adapter if I still had my 1st gen P99. If I couldn't find one, I'd think of visiting a local machine shop as a last resort.

Could definitely have one made if I need to but finding an original titanium mount would be ideal.

The rail adapter I think was available only for the European market back then but I could be wrong.

The lasers by Laser Devices, one with button switch is model BA-6 and the one with toggle switch is BA-5.

All of them have become unobtainium for 20 years.

That's very unfortunate.
