The rail adapter I think was available only for the European market back then but I could be wrong.

The lasers by Laser Devices, one with button switch is model BA-6 and the one with toggle switch is BA-5.

All of them have become unobtainium for 20 years.

I held off purchasing a Gen1 P99 until one became available with the rail adapter included.

What material is it made in?

It has been years, but from what I remember, the rail adapter was made for an airsoft pistol, or something of the sort. It wasn't meant to be used on a "real" firearm, it just happened to fit
