I've got a post-war model P-38 from 6/60.
The slide, barrel still has a really nice blue finish.
However, the bluing on the aluminum frame is almost completely gone, leaving a really ugly turquoise look to it. Most of it is back to bare metal. I'd like to refinish the frame, but I've been told that you can't blue aluminum.
Is there any method or substance I can use as an alternative to get my gun back to looking nice?
Thanks!
