I just purchased a new PDP 9mm as my second walther and can’t seem to press the two slide lock release levers on both sides to remove the slide for cleaning. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My mistake. It is a PDP compact 4. Polymer frame. I meant the take down levers. The manual just says to press down on the two take down levers, Nothing about pulling the slide back like my Glocks. If I pull back on the slide it engages the trigger. Perhaps pulling it back too far? Will work with it and thank you.
