I recently found a new boxed Walther PPK 22 LR jewel, never worn. It has the letters "HH" coined along with the traditional stamp of "Asta de Ciervo" from what I understand it is produced in 1977. It is already 45 years old! .

I share with pleasure and satisfaction photos and videos of this beautiful gun, for everyone's enjoyment.

Any information or opinion will be valued. From what I would like to know, accuracy, reliability with different ammunition, price in the US, in Germany and in Europe.

In my environment and country, it is the only one I have seen in my entire life. I have seen Walther PP, in cal 22 LR, but never a PPK, and even less in this new condition. I think this pistol is a real find because as far as I know they were never imported in quantity in my country.
Surely, he entered through a direct import from a serious Collector. And I don't think you'll find many in the world in this pristine condition with absolutely no use, just factory test shots.

The finish is impeccable and it is a pleasure to look at.

I am happy and I wanted to share with you photos and video for everyone to enjoy.

Personally, I prefer PP Series on this platform. in caliber 22 LR. above the 380 ACP, 32 ACP, 25 ACP, both for shooting and for defense, due to its ballistic performance, precision, absolute control of the weapon and abundant and extremely cheap ammunition. Low recoil and noise.
It would be important to read your preferences and weapon review.
A true gem.
Luck !

Congrats, beautiful specimen, I second everything you said, I got my hands on a new unfired old stock (complete) in Jan 2021 and its my carry and enjoyment for the same reasons you listed. In addition I got my hands on a mint unfired one that arrived yesterday, just the pistol with my mag as I wanted a “spare” one.

My 380’s and 32’s are very nice too but the weight and ease and precision of the PPK .22 made it over the years my daily use and carry and practise…hence my second one I got.

Absolutely reliable with Fiocchi standard and High velocity HP and FMJ. CCI mini mags do not feed well in both of mine and other “stuff” I tried before have cycling and other issues. CCI mini mags issues for the first few rounds due to the soft tip getting dented and stuck at the bottom of the feeding ramp….and I will not polish…Fiocchi are made for these…..The best round are the Fiocchi exactly match 300 series but they are very hard to find these days…..superb cycling and accuracy.

Note that although the mag can house 9 for reliability use only 8 or else you have the initial feeding problem.

Invest in one more mag, get yourself the additional finger rests and a nice Kramer AIWB holster and mag holders and go enjoyyyyy…do not put it in the safe….have fun!

Dear Mr. "Ameridap" it is gratifying to verify that we still feel and experience life, being you in the other part of the world and both coming from different countries and cultures.
As you well said, we both acquired the same weapons for the same reasons and we are both having moments of joy and satisfaction thanks to the same weapon.

I totally agree with you, and I agree to enjoy it and not keep it. You can do both, being a Safe Queen and a companion on the range and for AIWB.

Let's see if I understood correctly: the ammunition "CCI Mini Mag." It has not worked for you, does it get stuck in your PPK 22 LR pistol?
This is a novelty for me, because all the people I have read on the Web, assure that the CCI Mini Mag ammunition is the most reliable of all without obstacles in the PPK.

Fiocchi in caliber 22 L.R. it is non-existent in the gun stores of my country. Not so other calibers, such as 380 ACP, which I found to be the best ammunition in 380 ACP.
CCI Mini Mag, in Cal 22 LR, ammo is plentiful.

Thank you, nice to meet you

Most people in Germany are unable to buy any gun. You need a verified requirement to get a weapons possession card and most people haven't. So small demand = low prices.

Redcat, will yours run from a full magazine? Seem to recall mine will only function 100%, 100% of the time, from 8 rounds, regardless of ammo. There was a time that a PPK/s .22 was my only defensive arm.
We had a member here, with endless patience (and really small Dremel cutters) who put a little more splay in the magazine stack by grooving the interior of (hard to get) PP magazines. The 25 round mags for a 15-22 show a lot of stagger,or splay, and those work amazingly well.
Pera, wow, nice catch. Is it the light giving the matte finish in some of the shots?
That thing is (almost...) too pretty to shoot. :)
Welcome aboard,
Moon

That is a beautiful PPK you have there PERA! Gorgeous to say the least!
As for ammo, mine prefers Remington Golden Hollow Point. I have used CCI ammunition with good success, especially the green and red Christmas ammunition.
Most other ammunition doesn't have the power to successfully eject and chamber the next round consistently.
Also good advice above on loading only 8 in the magazine for reliable feeding.
I've been shooting mine regularly since 1980, she is no safe queen, and is a favorite of all that have shot her. :)

Dear Mr. "Walther 22 LR", I really enjoyed your message, yes indeed, it is a beautiful piece, my new Walther PPK 22 LR. and it is gratifying to find here people like you Walther who share the same passion and know how to value this beautiful piece.

That speaks, "Walther 22 LR" of his feeling, knowledge and taste for what is good and quality. You will surely agree with me, Walther, that this weapon is a true old-school Masterpiece.

You have given me very good information, regarding the ammunition, I understand that the PPK 22 LR likes the CCI Mini Mag and the Remington Golden Hallow Point.

In my country, the CCI, it is common to find it in stores, but the Remington, it is very difficult to see now, they have not been imported for a long time, around here. When I was a child 50 years ago it was the best ammunition on the market, but over the decades the quality has decreased and so has the demand. It is a brand that I have a lot of sympathy for. If you recommend it to me, it is to be assumed that fortunately, the Remington has improved.

Your Nick name ( Walther 22 LR ) speaks of your passion for the brand and especially for the pistols produced by Walther in 22 LR caliber. like my beautiful PPK And today I read that the Walther brand is the pistol brand that has the most Olympic wins to its credit in 22 LR.
Luck !

Thank you for the kind words.
Since CCI is common out there, I would defiantly try those first. I'm sure they will work just fine.
I didn't know about the "most Olympic wins", that is a nice bit of history to know!
Here is my PP in .22 lr.

My cartridges refuse to chamber in my .22 PP if i load 10 rds in the magazine. The top round will nose dive and jam the slide open. Eight rds. work perfectly.

I have a Beretta 92/22 with the 15 rd. magazines and those cutouts on the magazine body really do work lining up the top cartridges! :)

I followed with great interest the thread on the PP magazines that were modified with the cutouts. But as others have mentioned, cutting up a VERY expensive magazine is concerning.

If Mec-Gar would make some old version PP magazines and sell them at $50 or less, I'd be all over that! :)

My beautiful Manurhin 22 definitely wants only hv stuff…minimag are the best…same for my walther pp…in both guns standard velocity don’t cycle reliably. My only walther 22 eating standard vel is a ppsport, due to its longer barrel…

Paolo_k, CONGRATULATIONS!! you have a beautiful collection, from the PP Series, in 22 LR. I especially loved the state of conservation of the Walter PP Sport.

I see that you are Italian, my grandparents were Italian too, from Genoa, Province of Savona.

Although I have been raised with all the Italian traditions and culture, I do not have citizenship, because my grandfather took out Uruguayan citizenship, and according to Italian laws, apparently, he lost his Italian citizenship. Very unfair, but hey, you have to accept it. Although I never lose hope, even though I am already 62 years old.
