Great compared to what? What reputable reviewers put this claim out where you "keep" reading it?

I hoped the Creed would be similar to the PPQ in regard to trigger, actually held off PPQ purchase to shoot a Creed.

Found it had a long take up, with stacking before break, and a longish, non-tactile reset (doesn't pop the trigger finger like the PPQ).

The only thing I liked about the Creed was its delaying my PPQ purchase to the 2nd day of $100 refund period.

Bad dog....there's a LOT more to determining a 'great' trigger than putting a trigger pull gauge on it. If you want a great trigger, get a PPQ. I've got stock Q's with a 4.5 lb. break and some modified Q's with less than 3 lb. break. AND, the pull is light and smooth as silk. For striker fired weapons, I'd classify the stock PPQ trigger as the best factory striker fired trigger on the market. And my modified Q's beat the krap outta the stock setup....smoother and lighter.

If you're on a budget, get a CREED. If you can come up with an additional hundred and fifty or so and want to put a permanent smile on your face, get a PPQ.

I'm sure the Creed has a very good trigger. I've had three PPXs that did and I still have one of them. I can shoot my PPX as accurately as my PPQ that has a great trigger and awesome reset. Still my Q takes a backseat to my P99 and even more so to my P99c that both have even better triggers plus a nice double action pull.

It just depends on what you like in a trigger and what you use it for.

The Creed has a very different trigger than the PPQ. The one I shot was very smooth with no grit. More of a rolling feel to it. Because it was smooth it was pretty easy to shoot.

Keep in mind the Creed was designed to be a budget gun. I think its a very good budget gun.

I guess its up to what you want to use the gun for. If you think you might shoot it a few times but mostly keep it in a drawer for home defense duties, it is a great choice and the Creed trigger is fine for that.

If you think you might get serious with target shooting o r competition, think about saving a little more money and getting the PPQ.

Spot on.

The Creed trigger is good (IMHO too).

The pre-break stacking is a feature some like on a defensive firearm (not personally though).

 

We at Walther Forums will try, but that seems to be the norm on here.

 

Myself, after handling a PPQ 9mm and CREED side by side.

Think that the PPQ may have a superior trigger, but know that the CREED fits both my hand(s) and my budget much beter than the PPQ.

Smooth as silk for the PPQ trigger, but nearly effortless with the 2 CREEDs that I've been
able to fondle so far.

Some travel backward but not enough to really hamper the test video shooters than
seem to be able to shoo the CREED very fast.


My wife also likes the CREED's trigger pull or should I say..light hammer strike.

She has problems with pulling a double action or even a GLOCK ( former owner of a Glock 19, G43, G17, G32, ect) these days, but really likes the CREED.

I have my wonderful PPS for a carry gun. The new 9mm would be for the range each week and for HD. She might beven get her permit to carry it.

So, even though I'm impressed with the CANIK copies..the choice will be a CREED or PPQ.

The only odd factor would be a CZ P10-C from the CZ Santa, but we will see.

 

I'll chime in as liking the PPX, trigger, and supposedly the Creed trigger is the same. A bit longer than most striker fired guns, but light and smooth.

 

I shot a Creed at the range. Nice enough but my P99's trigger beats it hands down. Again, the deals I have seen on the Creed ($269 with 3 magazines) have been stellar and its a nice weapon. Nothing wrong with it from what I can see.

Good point (Comparing PPQ striker to Creed hammer is wrong).

Had my PPQ 45 & SIG 227 (with SRT trigger) at both range sessions where I ran 2 Creeds. Again, will state Creed can't be defined as a "Great" trigger.

ANY trigger with noticeable creep after hitting the wall just can't be defined as "great" IMHO!

The Creed has a GOOD CARRY trigger.
