hello, I am actually thinking to trade my civilian Zella Mehlis 1939 PPK
with this 22 LR PPK.
In your opinion could this really be a Mossad owned one ?
thank you

Unless that stamp definitively identifies it as a Mossad issued gun follow the rule that one buys the gun, not the story.

In the 70th the Israelis eqipped armed sky marshalls with Berettas (Mod. 70+71) or Walther PPKs, all chambered in .22lr, to protect 'El Al' flights. As a rule these sky marshalls were members of the Israeli army, a unit called 'Sarjeret Markal'.

The guns were marked with the star of David on the frame (with the Hebrew letter of 'tsadi' (= Israel defence force) and the sign of 'nun' (= Israel proof mark).

Not mentioned, sorry. But recently I saw a Baden-Wuerttemberg surplus PP w. Hebrew marked hangtag someone discribed as Israeli gun. Perhaps this one could match.

Btw: I believe in young sprint stars trained later as a dog-catcher to be able to run away quick if the wild animal is f.e. a wild hog shot w. a .22lr ...

Lex , lions , and tigers, and bears , oh my , of curse what other kinds of "WILD ANIMALS "do you have in Kalifornia's wide urban spaces , grizzlies and mountain lions for sure ,but tigers not so much I think . It was not meant to make any sense Lex just an ilconcieved attempt at humor if I gave offence I apologize ,but the "penance " was a " good " one for Kali don't cha think . ayb
