I have a P38 that was left to me from my father in law with a few other pcs. I have done some research and know it is Mauser I think second edition. I was hoping first edition with a low serial but it says there were only about 700 of those. If anyone has anymore info or know how rare this or not I would really appreciate it. Including a couple of pics. If someone needs another pic to see distinguishing marks let me know. Thank you advance. I have already learned a lot from reading some of the posts here.

Thank you 1984Landcruiser. That is a beautiful pistol. Here are a couple more pics of it and C96 Mauser Broomstick Red 9 that was also left to me from Father-in-law. Hoping I can find some info about it on the P38 forum above I just got registered.
