I just recently bought a solid brass backstrap from Taylor Freelance and I like it. I bought it primarily to add weight to my polymer framed model to lessen recoil, and it is a noticeable increase in weight. I got the black one instead of the bare brass. I just like black, not bling. I've never heard of the one you posted there, but it sounds interesting. I'd do a general google search to find reviews or anything else people might have to say about it. The grip tape part I wouldn't be interested in at all. I think the texture the grip comes with is very good.

 

the kiral has a pad on it to cushion. dont think it adds mass. yep made of polymer. so the only benefit is cushion, unless you don't want to add weight.
