Wed or Thur, I should receive my gunbroker.com winnings, an `01 P-99.

I want to send the slide into Tripp.  But I see they have two finishes available.  Which did you get?  Cobra Chrome or the Cobra Coat?

What did you have them do to the decocker button and extractor lever?

Thanks

Cobra Chrome is hard chrome. Cobra Coat is a polymer finish. - U also have 2 choices in the hard chrome - polished or matte.

I had my slide done in MATTE hard chrome. And, I asked that the decocker and extractor be finished in their black polymer coating. It's included in the price.

Also, I took of the front sight, but left the rear on. That way, they hartd chromed the little pin that holds the rear sight on. And, they will disassemble and reassemble the slide internals for U. U need not worry about that.

Tripp does nice work. I've used him for a few guns.

SHIPWRECK got one thing wrong though.
Tripp offers a matte finish or brushed, he does not offer a polished chrome finish

No, just remove the front sight and send it in. Also, choose the kind of hard chrome finish U want (I chose matte), or he may choose it for U.

I left the rear sight on when I shipped it for each one - that way they automatically chromed that little pin that holds the rear sight on.

Also, unless U want the decocker and extractor hard chromed (which I would say would be a mistake - the black looks better for contrast), ask Tripp to cover the decocker button and extractor in black polymer for a richer black finish (the stock finish on those two black items is very rough)...

Also, he will disassemble and reassemble the internals for ya...
