Ya know what would be nice? A Walther/SW PPK/S .40S&W. Oh man, that would be beautiful. But I don't think that they'll EVER make that. I wouldn't mind one in 9mm.

They couldn't, since it is a blow back design it would blow up

. There is not delayed lock up to allow the gases in the barrel enough time to leave through the muzzle. So anything with higher pressure than a .380 would release gas through the ejection port and into the magazine, and that would be bad.

Their has been a few 9mm blowbacks I remember one in 80's little bigger than PPK/s and slide alone weight 16oz They just don't work very well. Now their is that $1000 little 9 made by Rxxxxxx what ever their name is. Its about PPK size and I think a little lighter.

Michael, do you know if that Robar is a blow back design??

Kahr makes pistols in that caliber, I would like to try one someday because I think they would be a little punishing on the hand.

I don't belive its a blow back. Because its very light weight and as a blow back wouldn't work proper.Need weight of slide to slow things down. Hi Point are heavy. Kahr isn't blowback and not bad to shoot. 
That is the one thing I like about my Colt Mustang It has very little recoil compaired to PPK. I can pop away with Corbon and almost no recoil.

Colt Mustang is a great little gun, I have never owned one though. I looked up in one of my books, Walther did make a PP in 9mm that was a straight blowback, it had a huge slide and still had trouble with part breakage, though they didn't say what parts broke. It looked like it used about a 5" barrel.

Detonics is a defunct company that made mostly poor-selling 1911 clones. But they made a pretty good sub-compact, called the "Pocket 9". My friend had one, and it was a pretty good little shooter- not quite German quality. It was a straight blowback, and a 9mm, as the product name implies. Tended to break magazines a little too often though...

Thats the one I was thinking about from the 80's

Detonics has risen from the grave and again makeing mini 1911's with a start price tag in $1000 range. I have a friend that carries a old Detonics 45 I been trying to get from him. As his is depenable.

I could dig in my old Mag collection goes back to mid 70's 3rd issue of SOF and maybe find. I remember slide was like 16oz its self.
