I think still a bit overpriced and also it is a BMI police issued training conversion.....Interesting non the less as I was not aware of the conversions being issued to police... I thought they just bought the already .22lr chambered P38

I agree that even his reduced price is high for a barrel sleeve unit.....me being more inclined to shoot it rather than "safe queen" it away....

Being it is a "BMI" marked police trainer... I would not worry about it.....
I would make a offer to the guy per email.. it never hurts....
also the guy "lugerdoc' might be able to hook you up with some other ones.... besides the slide he just mentions.....
FWIW if memory does me good the average price I think is $400 ... but you might want to ask on the P38 Forum just to make sure...
