Why the PPS works for me as EDC.

My Walther M1 PPS .40 caliber in a Don Hume IWB W715-M WCS leather holster with "body guard" piece. Six round magazine. Note I do also have a Walther M2 PPS with 8 round magazine. So a greater lenght with that configuration. This holster accommodates both.

I realize everyone has different needs and choices. For myself the Walther PPS's size and ergonomics is why it's the fundamental EDC choice for myself at this time. I am 5'9" and weight 170lbs with small to medium hands. Even with my hand size, the PPS basically fits within the palm of my hand.

For certain situation I will pick my PPS M1 for carry. Nice and slim and very accurate handgun!

On a side note, I always wished that we would see James Bond switch over from the PPK to the PPS in the movies, even though I like the PPK also.

8 rounds on tap, and an 8-round spare is just fine for me, for most situations in my day-to-day. The PPS M2 is my frequent EDC. I carry mine in a Vedder Light Tuck.

I also really like the striker pin that protrudes when the trigger moves - extra piece of mind to be able to 'thumb' the striker plate when holstering.

I also conceal carry a PPS in an IWB Don Hume H715M WCS (#18). The holster works well for either 9mm or .40S&W in both original or M2, and has strong retention for all PPS models. The single clip open mouth design allows for a variety of waistband positions on the strong side and a cross-draw too.

Bottomline: Thinking about it, a handgun design for use by German police as a backup concealment weapon, and by an establish highly proficent German gun manufacturer known for innovative designs adds up to a winner in my opinion.

My PPS.40 has been my main carry gun the last 5 years. I originally bought it about 7 years ago as an occasional carry when I couldn’t carry something larger. It’s on me probably 90% of the time. It’s just so easy to carry.

Very nice leather holster and magazine holder. I believe my next holster is going to be brown leather with the belt loops.
BTW Bought my 40 in 2015.

Actually I bought mine back in 2015. I just found an old picture dated 2015.

I have a few different holsters but the Nelson Wrangler gets the nod almost exclusively.

Another Don Hume IWB PPS M1 here. First I carried a First Edition, then picked up another new one for $300.
