Easy enough for a poll. Who is your favorite James Bond.
*I included David Niven from the "original" Casino Royale

I'm not sure anyone can top Connery.  We'll have to see how Craig pans out.

Brosnin was pretty good, and I actually liked Lazenby. Or maybe it was because Dianna Rigg was in that one

Connery.
Craig is a good actor, but has said that he hates guns. Apparently not enough to forego movies that have guns in them.
He was excellent in Layer Cake, though.

he also said holding that gun (P99) in interview made him sick. i say connery first because he is james bond the whole series would be dead if he didnt come back. Then Bronson. The movie might be great but i will never like this new guy.

Roger Moore is also no fan of firearms and has admitted to having a phobia about them. He claimed to have closed his eyes while "shooting" his PPK/P5 or any other weapon.

While it would be nice to have a firearms advocate in such a prized position, he was hired for his talent in acting, not his personal views (obviously.) Connery and Moore were two of my favorite Bonds. That dosen't necessarily translate to any other topic, despite what else they endorse. Same with other celebrities.

While I agree with you in some ways........
the issue at hand is that our celebs have more and more influence over our political landscape and that bothers me a lot....
I know it should not be that way.... but it is... and the lefty anti gun lobby (I know there a few of those on the right too) is growing day by day....
What gets me is the ignorance of them thinking that if they ban all the guns that the bad guys won't get to them ... maybe in 10 years our kids won't be able to play baseball anymore couse they had to ban the bats too, since too many people smashed in their heads not being able to shoot each other since guns were banned.....
IMHO... if they are payed to play a role in a movie... they should keep their mouth shut about how sick it made them to hold or shoot the gun... since that is what they are getting payed for....
done ranting

They certainly do have influence on our political lanscape. I have to agree with you there. I just wish people could seperate the actor from the character. "The Terminator" is not in office in California...

There is ONLY one James Bond (although Pierce was very suave and pulled the character off very well) and that is SEAN CONNERY.

Period. End of story. All other opinions don't matter.

IMHO Sean Connery made the character his own. No one else comes close.
I liked Roger Moore when he played Simon Templar in 'The Saint'. As far as I'm concerned, through all the Bond movies he did, he never stopped playing Simon Templar.

Connery should be brought back now to play M.

I agree. The Simon Templar thing was the only thing that made losing Sean Connery acceptable to me at the time. But then he still never quite filled Sean's shoes. The "in-between guys" were a joke. Pierce Brosnan was just so "cute" and suave that I admit he did do OK (although I hate to admit it). But NOW?? This new POS Bond is pitiful.................

They should be ashamed.............
