Glocks polymer is flexable while the Walther is solid. Which frame do you think will hols up longer and why? Also why didn't walther make their frames flexable?
Walther added a fiber reinforcement to their frames, which I think makes them stronger, and more consistent.
But I could be wrong....... only time will tell.
Seems to me that a firmer polymer frame would provide more consistency than a softer polymer frame. But, I'd also bet that the softer polymer lasts longer.
This is based purely on gut feel, since I am quite obviously not a materials engineer.
Just as a possible correction, I believe that it's only the RECEIVER that's glass-reinforced, but if we can get a confirmation that from someone at Smith/Walther, it would be great.
