Howdy guys, i am looking into buying one of the two pistols. i dont have any experience with either one. i have heard the QA is just like a glock trigger. i have looked at a regular P99 and the DA pull was long, but the SA was nice. i cant find any local dealer that has a P99QA. anyone have both or shot both and could tell me their preference and the pros and cons. i shoot glocks and sigs, so i am use to both types of trigger systems. how close is the walther QA trigger compared to a glock? thank you

I have some experience with Glocks...I have eight and IMO, the P99 QA trigger feels slightly better than the stock Glock with the 5# trigger connector.

I prefer the standard DA/SA P99 triggers over the QA, but some day, I'll probably add a QA to my collection.

I have extensive experience shooting and selling both the double action and Quick Action models of the P99. They are both nice, both different and you can't go wrong with either one of them. The double action pull is long but smooth with a lot of slack and a light single action pull. The QA is similar to the action and trigger pull of a Glock but superior and has a short crisp pull of about 5 to 6 lbs. Personally I prefer to carry and shoot the QA model, but I enjoy and own both versions and calibers. Many dealers do not know of the QA and they are harder to find and check out first hand. Either way you will have a very nice pistol on your hands.

My P-99 is a QA and my sons is a DA/SA. I prefer the QA. The trigger feels like a Glock with an eight pound NY trigger spring with a 3.5 lbs connector. The only thing I don't like is the trigger reset, it is longer than the Glock which has a tendency to throw me off. I shoot Glocks and wanted a P-99 but they are different on trigger re-set only.
