Stay away from "botique" ammos that promise you the moon on a stick. Basic Winchester or Remington hollow points often do just as good and typically better and cost much less than the "wonder rounds".

I've found one "boutique" 9mm round that I really like. I use it in a 92G Brig Tac WCombat tuned Beretta (22lb recoil spring and WC buffer).





This Underwood +P+ 9mm blurs the line between 9mm and 357SIG, the 124gr Gold Dot performs great at over 1300FPS.


I keep a minimum of 400rds on hand.
 
Just don't use that in a P5.

Oh yes, not a good idea for an unmodified P5.


I did run 2 mags of the stuff thru one of my "shooter" P5s (the one with 16# of recoil control, 2 fresh 8# Wolf springs), one mag with 3.5" barrel, one mag with the Lang barrel/slide swapped on the "shooter" frame.


Ran a mag thru the HK P7M13 too, got hot REALLY quick.
