Where to Buy Replacement Magazine Springs

2773 Views 10 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  Mikebaker1129
I have been trying to find replacement mag springs online and I cannot find a definitive source? Many of the normal online resources don't have anything that references ppq's even if some of their springs might work. I also don't see anything about replacement springs through walther or related shops.

I am probably missing something obvious here... Could one of you guys point me in the right direction?

Taylor Tactical has replacements for the PPQ 22 magazine.
I think the sparepart number you need is 2695111 for the standard spring

Let us know if WA will sell it to you.

Yes, you can buy PPQ springs from Walther, I got 10 from Earl’s at Walther Firearms and Accessories, Earl's Repair Service Inc. - Home Page . Little pricey, though. Would love a Wolff replacement option.
They probably don't sell well, being that I've been reading up on these pistols for a while now and while it may have happened, I don't remember ever hearing of an issue that could be traced back to a 15rd mag.

Mec-Gar makes a very high quality product. Let us know when your mag springs wear out. I'm genuinely curious.
The Walther mags are very close to other brands that are made by Mec-Gar. I'm sure someone could discover what would interchange. (Oldfart?)

True observation. Shot 5000 rounds total through 3 PPQ mags, got extra springs for them now that I’m putting high volumes (3k in 2 mo) through my Q5SF, but original springs still holding up fine.
Keep in mind that the P99 originally came with 16rd mags. Later, Mec-Gar changed the mag design and downloaded capacity by one, while keeping the same dimensions in regards to the length of the mag body. There is not as much tension on a fully loaded P99/PPQ mag as there is on other designs.
Just out of curiosity, why are new springs needed? Round count approx ? For future maintenance reminders
Are you looking for 15rd or 17 rd springs?

RTG PARTS had some 15 rd P99 magazine kits awhile back that included everything but the mag body. It might be worth an email to see if they still have any.
