Sorry for the two posts. For some reason the first post didn't go in until the second post was entered. Administration please cancel or delete the other post with the same topic.
Thanks

I have both, I prefer the std. DA/SA due to its super short reset. The QA just has too long of a reset for my liking. My wife loves her QA though.

I have both models and I like both models but they are different. I prefer shooting the QA Quick Action model, and that is the one I always carry. It also makes a lot of sense for former Glock owners like myself. My Glocks are all gone and I'll just keep adding different versions of P99's to my stable.

The trigger pull of the Walther P990 is much longer and heavier than a Quick Action Model but is actually pretty good for a DAO type gun. My local Police Dept just issued them as the new duty weapon and they love them. Of course they'd love anything compared to the old guns they got rid of.
The pull is smooth and about like the first double action pull of a regular P99 for every shot. It actually makes a lot of sense for carry and the Police market it was intended for. It is being replaced by a similar model called the P99 DA which has a different trigger guard and rail that is supposed to take the excellent M3 Tac Light.

Woohoo! I wonder if there are any plans to make a regular DA/SA P99 that will accept the M3 (or maybe the M6), or even a bracket to make it fit on existing P99's. I'd own an M3 if I knew of a bracket that mounted it to my P99.

Your going to have a tough time finding a P99QA 9mm Military.
I believe there are only 4 in existence.
So either you have a line one one of those 4, or your SOL on a OD green P99QA.
Of course you could make your own, out of a std. OD green P99, and a black QA, but the serial #'s wouldn't match.
OD green frame, with QA trigger group, QA slide and barrel, the frame # wouldn't match the slide or barrel #'s.
