I am curious as to what kind of groups everyone is geting with their P99s and at what range, post pics if you have them.

I recently bought a P99 AS and am loving it. I am getting good groups of about 1" to 1.5" at 25 yards. I will be going to the range again as soon as the weather breaks and will get pictures.

Well we must first credit to the skill of the shooter...but it is not uncommon for those using a P99 to report similar results. It is a great gun and highly underrated and the compact is as good or even better....

Welcome to the family...:)

Thanks for the welcome! :)

I have already found out a lot about the P99 from this forum and am very pleased with the decision to go with the P99 over the Springfield Armory XD, HK USP or the Taurus PT 24/7 Pro and I have never been a fan of Glocks.

WOW. U shoot better than I do.

I shoot the best w/ my P99 - better than any other gun, including a 1911.

That being said, I have asthma and take asthma medicine. That causes my hands to shake a bit. And, I injured my lef elbow as a kid, and as I am getting older, I seem to get minor tremors in my left hand periodically.

Anyway, my hands aren't the steadiest, so I'll never be a guy that can just stack those rounds 1 on top of the other. I do as well as I can.

This was my personal best, however (pic below). We used to have monthly internet contests at Handgun Forum. This was at 7 yards. Score of 49 out of 50. I've never been able to duplicate it since :p

I have had the best training in the world to be able to shoot like that. Spent 4 years in the Marine Corps.

I was in 2/7 in 29 Palms. Spent the better part of 98 as a PMI (Primary Marksmanship Instructor for you civilians) in Oklinawa teaching Marines to shoot the M16 and the M9 (read, worthless peice of crap) .

LeJeune....'77-79. 2nd Tow Co. 2nd Tank Bat. Was with the first group that phased out the mules and 106 recoilless rifle. Trained with LAWS and then replaced them with the TOW mounted on the back of the old Willis jeeps. What a death trap they were?29Stumps?yeah spent what seemed like an entire year there one month?.I was injured there during desert ops?who knew back then that we would be in the Sandbox now?my driver flipped our vehicle over on us, messed up my leg and almost knocked me out but thank goodness for those old steel pots?the driver was not so fortunate his scalp was laid back like it had been peeled with a knife and it ripped off his ear and disfigured him?.what a mess. I walked away, he did not.

My primary MOS was an 0352 TOW Gunner, Secondary MOS 8531 PMI. I miss shooting a TOW, luckily we had em mounted to a HMMWV. I actually love the stumps, largest live fire base in the world. So many times we had regimental training ops with full support (including tanks, helo's, Harriers, arty, etc...) Objective: a bush!

The one thing that really sucked out there was the desert tortoises. We would have to stop all live fire exorcises when they were on the range and wait until they crossed, endangered species and all.

FrontRangeP99:

Well, I didn't want to brag.. But since you asked. It WAS slightly uphill (both ways):D There WAS a bit of snow on the ground, probably less than 5". I was wearing shower clogs, and you are correct in the other etc, etc, etc. details.. But, I don't want to braggggggg...
If you think that was good shooting, you should see the results of my S&W Escort shot from 50', at NIGHT, no moon..

Or, basically I'm full of sh.. uh, poop. ;)
