Hey y’all,

I bought this gun a few years back. I was hoping someone here could help me figure out when this gun was made. It doesn’t have a date like my other walthers.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

It's a Walther PP in .32 ACP, made by MANURHIN in France, some time between 1952 and 1961, probably right in the middle of that period going by the serial number.

It must be hard chromed. It’s as heavy and solid as my ‘57 and ‘67 Walthers. I looked at those serial number charts that have been distributed on here but I wasn’t sure it applied to this gun.

I didn’t know they were making 2 tone guns in the 50’s so I didn’t believe it could’ve been very old. Curious, are these sought after or collectible?

I have a weakness for hardchromed guns, and that is a handsome example, but the mod affects the value negatively. It's a shooter in a great caliber.

Thanks for all the info guys. It appears to be a 1956 with a hard chrome finish then. Now I’m off to clean her up.
