Ok I am sure a few of you know by now I am planning on getting a PPS M2 LE soon, but it is driving me crazy what the "LE" actually stands for?

I assumed it was Limited Edition, but keep seeing it listed as "Law Enforcement"

Which is it?

Hmmmm that is odd. Don't know too many cops using a Walther PPS. Maybe as off duty pistol or backup perhaps. Well I still call it limited edition LOL

In fact the first time I took mine to the range a uniformed police officer was entering at the same time as I. He mentioned he was looking at small 9mm pistols for off-duty carry. I let him run a mag full through mine.

He liked it.

Hope I didn't do him a disfavour :(

disfavor? how? My PPS shoots beautifully at 7 yards; it's small, well made and can make very bad holes in the body

I wouldn't be surprised if Walther had actually once used the wrong term "Police Pistol Short" by mistake. Walther is famous for its weapons, of course, and equally infamous for its sometimes hair-raising publications and the countless errors on its website.
