My new 9mm came in today....date coded AG. I want a weaponlight for it, and was looking into the streamlight TLR-2 as it doubles as a laser...the gun shop had one, so we tried to fit it to my 9mm, and it does not quite fit on the rail because the trigger guard is slightly too far forward. I'd have to file an eight of on inch off the front of the trigger guard to make it work, and I don't want to do that.


Will the Surefire X200 work?

any other weaponlights?

The X200 won't fit "stock" on your P99 neither
Buy the S&W key for the TLR-2 and it will fit your P99

They make various versions of the TRL lights - U could have bought one specifically made to fit the SW99/P99.

Contact the company and see what you have to do to get 1.

I just bought an M5 light. Its basically a Streamlight M3, but it fits the S&W guns, as well as the P99 and SW99.

Yes, DO NOT file the gun away.
