I was out shooting my new P22 the other day, plinking along having a blast.
I had also brough along my Kahr Mk9.
I was standing there looking at both pistols, when I was struck by a cool idea.
A single stack 9mm based on a P22 size frame would be about the same size as a Kahr Mk9.
That would be an awesome little single stack 9mm. If Walther could make something like that, and beat Glock to the sub-compact single stack 9mm polymer market, they would score some major points over Glock with the CCW crowd.
I'd take a "baby" Walther P99 any day over a Kahr PM9 or a Glock "baby" 9mm.
Walther needs a suggestion box.

He has the longer barrel one still in his case.
I don't remember what he had it marked at though.
Tell him Jody sent you.

The single stack idea is ok but I would rather Walther take the existing P99, cut the grip down to the 10 round size, take an inch off the barrel and slide, and hopefully leave the rest alone. That would give us a 10 round baby, slimmer than the Glock with the same trigger, mag release, decocker, and stricker mechanism as the full size.
