Can anyone explain what the Walther P99 2000 Commemorative is. I could find no description anywheren on the internet.

My local gun shop is selling them for $799.00, and, $569.00 for the reg. P99

I know the 2000 Commemorative comes with a nice leather case and video but what do you really get for $230.00 more?

I am not sure about the true market value of the 2000 comm. edition, but there is one listed on gunbroker.

That one is $999, so if that is the true rep of the market, $799 doesn't sound like a bad price if you like special guns. I think if you are going to shoot the gun often and carry everyday or somedays, I would go with the regular P99. If you want a conversation piece and something that could go up in value, the other. Its speculative at the best to say the 2000 comm will go up in value though. Only time will tell.

That was my reaction to a couple in a local shop. They wanted something like $750 as well as I recall.
