The database is becomming more and more interesting.
One of the observations is that it appears that no P5s were produced in the period 1988 - 1990.
I would love to hear if people have any P5s that were produced in these years. If they do exist than these would probably have a serial number in the following range:
#50.159 - 50.200
or
# 100.000 - 100.523
Looking forward to receiving more reports of any P5!
Dennis , I have two more for you and two observations, on my newer model on the d hole in the trigger bar the straight part isn't it has a slight upward gradient to it and also the magazines are marked with the Walther banner and 9x19 but P-5 isn't marked on it like it was on the earlier models magazines .

Since the beginning of this thread I received a lot of information regarding the Walther P5 variations, mainly due to contributions from forum members who reported their P5 serial number and characteristics. Therefore, I think it is time to start updating the information that started this thread. I will start working on it, and upload the updated info shortly!
Please keep reporting your P5s so that this thread can involve into a very complete picture of P5 variations.

So im trying to establish a value for my P5 in 7.65 Para(Luger 30. Was purchased in Italy with 1062 markings. New never shot and appears to be, no box and 7.65 barrel serialized to the gun. Also has a 9m barrel with no serial numbers. no box or papers.Any ideas what its worth if I decide to sell? (have others)
thnx
Figured I would add my new to me P5 to this list. By date and serial number, it should be a 4th variation, but it has none of the 3rd or 4th variation modifications listed in the OPs.
