Greetings. I discovered by accident how to increase the magazine capacity for my new Walther P22Q. I bought the Tamdem Kross +5 Magazine Extension Kit and installed it. I then INCORRECTLY filed the bottom of the magazine follower down too much (made it half as long) which changed the angle of feed for the bullets. In a nut shell I RUINED the magazines function and the last 3 or 4 bullets would stand up in the mag, fail to feed, and jam the pistol. After learning I couldnt find a replacement follower and had to buy a new $35 mag to replace the follower that I had ruined, I stumbled across the $11 Galloway Precision +3 Magazine Follower for the Walther P22. I bought a couple, and installed the first one in the magazine that I had ruined the follower in. Now remember that I had first installed the +5 kit on the mag first which then gave me 15+1 rounds(before ruining the follower that came with the kit). After installing the Galloway Precision +3 magazine follower to replace the Tandem Korss follower that I ruined, I pleasantly discovered that my Walther P22Q can now hold 17+1 ROUNDS! I immediatly modified my other 10 round factory mag! It may even be able to hold 18 rounds by sanding the +3 follower, but I decided to leave well enough alone. I posted this info on Galloway Precisions web site but they removed it. If you want an 17+1 capacity for your Walther P22Q heres how to get there!
