I just pick up a Walther KKJ 22lr with a fixed rear sight. 50 meters/100meters/150meters flip up leaf on the rear sight. Anyone seen one like this before? Around what year it was made and is it a standard or custom made?

It has a Tiger Claw scope base as well.

Cheers

I doubt that the sight is original to the rifle, but the only way to make more than a guess is with closeup photos.

As for date of manufacture, look for the firing proofs --last two digits of the year, or a letter code.

I have seen some of those sights on KKJ's. They were very common on early post-war Anschütz sporters and date back well before that time.

Walther used to take special orders in Germany.

I think that would more accurately be a 'leaf sight" not a fixed sight. Is the front sight dovetailed in?

Hi, It has a dovetailed front sight. The milled-in scope mount at the back of the action is uniform width all through comparing to other ones I saw that has a smaller width of rail for mounting the sight.
