Just got back from a quick Google search and nothing popped up.
Saw a bit of a movie with a sniper scene taking place in the dark. It was quick (and dark) so I really couldn’t say much about the rifle itself but the flash of the Walther flag on the gun was unmistakable.

I must presume, and not just because of the movie, that Walther used to make cenerfire rifles in the past. When did they stop or are they just not available stateside? Anyone have a website for them?

Disregard. Looks like I (finally) stumbled across it.
Walther WA 2000.
However in looking at the prices I reckon I can scratch that off my list!
Any others?

Walther made at least one centerfire rifle that I'm aware of.
The Walther WA 2000 has made its way into a Bond and Bourne movie.

Yes. Just did some quick reading on the 2000 (and I do now remember seeing it in the past) and didn’t realize only 176 were made. Guess that helps explain the cost!

Good grief, that does look a wee bit over-engineered; the 2000, that is. Apparently the MPL was well thought of, but outstripped by the MP5.
