it seems that a ppk can rust very easily. I had one (1964 7.65mm import) in a case that must have had some moisture in it for a week and found some rust on the frame around the grips. Well the rust marks came off but so did the bluing. Just a little silver showing on the frame under the trigger guard between the grip plastic but it made me sick as this was a very clean gun. And I had had it only two months.

The cold blue will probably work as a touch-up but if you're anal about it matching the rest of the finish it may not be to your liking.

To be sure you get the best from the cold blue be sure to use a cleaner/degreaser on the surface FIRST and polish it immediately.

Ironically blueing is actually a form of rust in itself.

I have not ever tried it. If it only helps it blend in and not be that noticeable I probaly wouldn't like it. I may try a hidd3en area. I just don't think it should have done it that easily. thanks,
