Thanks. Walther confirmed this for me this morning. It probably was obvious, but I wanted to make sure. Once again, thanks to you and everyone who took some time to help.

I meant I have no idea why Walther made the Pro with a threaded barrel given the entire set up of it isn't really right for a can (no can sights, race trigger, funnel). It's actually really hard to imagine when a Pro owner would want the threaded part given there isn't a Walther comp.
Walther does have them on their website to buy, without threads. Yes. There is nothing special about the Pro internal. Any same length non threaded barrel will work. 100%
I’d heard that plumbers tape works. Not sure if that’s the sort of gasket seal you mean I didn’t try it because I didn’t know how easily it could be removed. Nice to know it’s easy to remove. Thank you.Would gasket seal work on something like this?
I know that once it dries, it is very easy to just peel off.
Something like this can be found in most auto parts stores:

Plumbers tape is more like tape, whereas RTV gasket seal comes out of the container like a gel, but when it dries, it turns into like a soft rubber. Gasket seal is very, very easy to just peel off once you don't want it there anymore. I used to use this stuff in automotive applications on parts that would end up very hot, so the heat of a barrel may not be much of an issue. I haven't ever tried it for this specific purpose, but I believe it may work well here.I’d heard that plumbers tape works. Thanks. I’ll take a look. If nothing else, you can never have too many kinds of thread locker and the like.Plumbers tape is more like tape, whereas RTV gasket seal comes out of the container like a gel, but when it dries, it turns into like a soft rubber. It is cheap, available, and even in the smallest container should last for many applications as I don't believe it would take much to keep the thread protector in place if it is tightened down after an application. It would be what I tried first if I saw this as an issue.
Unless you have other reasons besides the thread protector coming lose, Blue Loctite is your friend, and considerably cheaper than purchaing a new barrel.Does anyone know if I can get an unthreaded barrel for the full-size PDP Pro SD? I love the gun but don't like that the thread protector loosens after a few rounds. If I don’t find another solution, I’d like to know this is available. Thanks.
