I shot my P99 today. Second one I have owned. The SA trigger seems mushy, not crisp. The DA trigger is fine. I don't remember the last one having a mushy trigger. In fact I liked the trigger.

This one is a German model, 9mm, used.

How many rounds are through it? They take a little while to smooth out and settle in. Mine was fine after about 600 rounds or so.

It is used so I don't have a number available. Probably a LEO as it has lots of holster wear but the inside of the slide is crisp and clean.

The SA trigger comes back to a rest after initial pressure then clicks in place. As pulled to the rear it gets a little more resistance just prior to dropping the striker but never a crisp clean break. Of course I am comparing it to my P7.

Of course, it is far from rough. Smooth just a mushy release.
