I am looking to try refinishing a police trade P5 and need some help in stripping it down completely. Has anyone done that?

It's not that difficult (I did it) but :

- I left the hexagonal (transversal) reinforcement pin in its place
- take care while removing the recoil springs : you should "screw" them out backwards.

As for the rest, no problem (keep an exploded view at hand for correct assembly of some parts afterwards, especially for the springs behind the grip panels)

Thanks. Yes, I wondered how to take out the two recoil springs on the side of the frame. Any other hints?

one more : observe the correct position of the sear and its spring !

Be careful with the extactor and spring.
