I'm very happy with my QA .40. I have the full size. It has all of your standard internal safeties, no external. Its a very smooth weapon. I'm actually in the market for a P2000 now as well and can't decide on the SK or standard. The nice thing about the LEM trigger on the P2000 is that it has second strike meaning you can just pull the trigger again if you get a misfire rather than cycling the slide. No decocker though. The P99 QA has a decocker. The Trigger pull on the QA is awesome, for me its the perfect weight, not too heavy and long and not too short and light. If money is an issue, keep in mind that you are going to pay $150 - $200 more for a P2000 than the P99.

I have not shot either.... since I have not picked up my P99c from the store (i got mine in 9mmAS).....
The P2000SK  however seams to have a much shorter grip...even with the pinky extension on, I have to squeeze my hand or drop the pinky on the buttom of the floorplate... where with the P99c I can nicely hold the gun with  the mag extension put in place....(and my hands are medium)
Also keep in mind the $ you spend.. and that H&K is in the market for a new gun (P3000 I am sure there is a compact to come) which looks like it is going to be a very nice gun...more to come from the 2006 Shot show I guess....some pics here on HKpro site
