Just took delivery of a P1 today. I have a PPK, and a P22, but the P1 is new to me. Got it from AIM Surplus, came with 2 mags and a leather holster. I suspect it is a police turn in.

The frame is a deep black color with little wear, s/n 2536XX, stamped 1-80 which I assume is the manufacture date. The slide is a medium gray color which does not match the frame, flawless finish but very dry looking, needs some oil bad. The slide is stamped 7/79, and the last 3 numbers of the frame s/n are stamped just in front of the slide serations. I assume this was replaced at a police armory at which time it was stamped to match the slide.

Anything else I missed?

If the Frame is aluminum alloy it should have a steel pin above the trigger slightly in front of it to prevent cracking.
If this pin is not present I would advise you to find a steel frame and change it out.
