Gentlemen,

I know this is a touchy topic but S&W has posted pictures of their new subcompact models in 9mm and .40. Here is the link . . . SW99 C This should begin some lively discussion.

I'll hold up on an opinion until I can see a picture of a full-size next to it. Assuming it really is a subcompact in the same vein as a G26, I like it - especially the 10+1 cap. However, it'd look much better with the Walther frame and slide! Blah, blah blah...

Thanks for the link!

Fugly. They couldn't take the time and effort and actually SCALE DOWN the pistol instead of just chopping the grip in half and shortening the lide slightly? CKW is right......hack job. They didn't even resculpt the grip in the slightest bit.....just cut the bottom off.

Bing, bing, bing! Thats exactly what I noticed.

A good example of a compact pistol would be to compare the HK USP full size to the compact. The compact looks like a scaled down version.

I have a feeling if Walther made a compact it would have been done with a little more taste.
