Can you use Smith-wesson 99 compact mags in a walther 99C???

I emailed smith and they say no but they have been known to be wrong. Says you can use the thumb exstension on the bottom of the mag there the same.

My wife has a S&W 99c and I have a P99c, both 9mm.  The mags seem to work equally well in either gun.

Yes, U can use either. I mix and match in my fullsize and compact. (I have a SW99 and 2 P99s)
