Cannot really tell but it looks like an after market self lubrication finish like NP3 or Nickel Boron etc. to me.

.
No .22 PP-series are stainless.
.
Unfortunately the color balance isn't good...possibly NiVel (electroless nickel)...looks too yellow to be Durgarde (bonded brushed chrome). Could always be aftermarket.

This is a real steel PP made in Germany or France if the price is right buy it . The lighting may be the cause of color changes picture under better lighting may give better news .Interarms had some of their imports plated this may be one of those anyway it looks good to me and I bet it shoots like a dream. If you are buying as a shooter not an investment go for it I would ,I "Need" one in that cal for my collection. ayb

NiVel was applied by Interarms only to PP-series pistols imported directly from Manurhin --which this gun is not. So it's an aftermarket finish.

i hope this helps, it says "made in w. germany" "ulm/do." and has the eagle with the n bellow it, and has the antler. both eagle and antler are on the frame. the slide has a eagle n, so does the right side of the barrel.

I have an Interarms PPK/S .22 I had hard chromed back in the 80's as I carried it in brackish swamp water duck and gator hunting as that nice blueing wasn't up to the salt.

I've still got that old Walther and it still drives nails. It loves Remington golden bullets; never jams with them.
