Gulp. I have 10 magazines for each pistol I currently have. $540 for 10 8 round magazines would be expensive. I guess my wife will have to get a third job.

I don't think spares have arrived on these shores in any numbers yet. A friend who works for a wholesaler tells me that dealer cost is supposed to be about $30 when they do become available from S&W

I managed to get a couple shipped over from Claus at www.germanguns.de but they were expensive...

I e-mailed Walther a little earlier this week about when spare magazines would be available on their web store. The response I got was that "they should be in in a few weeks." I guess I can make do with a six and a seven rounder until then.

Well, the magazines are smaller maybe they can fit more in each crate?

Guys..... don't forget a few facts here
German's have a different holiday scedule than we do here.... 12-24 to 01-06 is time for family holidays and inventory time at big companies
then also this time a year things in the industry are slow due to many companies and other industry related people getting ready for SHOT show....

Germanguns has all three for both the 9mm and .40 S&W models, according to its website. The only issue in dealing with them is that they are located in Germany. Here's a link:

Several people have ordered from them. I placed my order on a Sunday - they shipped on the following Friday. Others have complained of even slower shipment.

The eight-round magazine's base is about 1/4" deeper than the one on the seven-round magazine. The tubes on all three capacities are the same so the change in length is only due to the depth of the base.

Yes they are. And given that P99 mags never really got cheap I think this price won't go down much. The low dollar doesn't help us US customers, of course.

I'm going to Holland later this year so I might be able to pick up a few magazines there. I wonder if magazines are restricted for air travel in checked baggage. Hmm, I guess I'd rather not find out

magazines are not restricted in checked baggage but you may want to check with the airlines. and then there is customs....."nothing to declare" lol
