Hi all, and thanks up front for any thoughts on this.

I’ve seen other threads on the P99 rear sight and plunger issue, but I don’t know that is the issue here. I just noticed my rear sight has some very slight movement in it, and I wouldn’t think that was typical. It doesn’t slide a 1/4” like I’ve read from others, but it does move when pushed on. I don’t know if it’s always had this issue, or if I knocked it and broke something loose.

Just curious what to do?! I’d like to keep the factory sights. I’ve never really had to deal with sight issues before, so I’m pretty green when it comes to diagnosing, and fixing, these issues.

Thanks for any help!

That slight movement is minimal and completely normal. All P99's, P99C's and PPQ's that use the spring and plunger system to capture the head of the windage adjustment screw do that.

That is great to hear imaoldfart! I’d never really noticed it before, and for some reason the other day I grabbed the rear sight to inspect it and noticed it moved slightly...then saw post about issues with it when I Googled it.

I’ll quit worrying about it! Much appreciated.
