I have the Walther CP 99 compact gun and i took the top off cause it wont go back into position but go to put it back on and the same thing it stays back. Please help I am new to these.

Have you run cleaning rod down the barrel lately? If so it's likely that the inner and outer barrel have separated. This is common.
