You must be firing first generation gold dots. I've had the same problem. The bullet's ogive doesn't taper soon enough to prevent interfering with the short throat on the Walther. It's a character trait that I've just had to live with. Fortunately all of the currently manufactured gold dot bullets chamber fine. You'll just have to shoot the old stuff in other guns.
