I just got my 2004 P99as and I love it, the only thing is I have only put 200rds though it and I see the finish coming off around the breach area, is this normal ?

Thanks In Advance

I love the finish on my P99. It is one of the nicest Black/Blue finishes I have seen.

I'm curious as to what the finish actually is. I know the Tennifer is under the finish. But unlike Glock's or my Styer the finish on a Walther is actually attractive.

The wear we see on our weapons may actually be just to a matte surface treatment, and not affecting the Tenifer conditioning of the metal itself. Regardless, the surface wear appears to be exaggerated by the lighting conditions under which it is viewed.I made this cross post with photos only because the larger photos were already in place for comparison. This is actually the smaller file I mention.

Can you post a picture? I've shot over a 1000 rounds and the finish appears unaffected.
