Sight plate?

I am getting a mixed bag of information on the subject of putting a sight on a ppq m2 9mm. I saw where you have to machine the slide and then I have seen that not being the case. Does anyone know for sure how to get something to put a holo sight on the slide without slide modification?

B1....its not a mixed bag of information. Its all true. I sent a pair of my slides off to L&M Precision GunWorks https://www.landmprecisiongunworks.com/ . Links to threads on this forum https://www.waltherforums.com/forum/ppq/66297-ppq-pps-trijicon-rmr-install.html

Another great thread. I posted pictures of a pair of 5" slides I had milled to accept the Walther factory plates. Now, I can mount a variety of 'red dots/RMR's' or the factory 'open sights'. Mark does excellent work. See post 32.

Lastly, someone offers a mount that attaches to the dovetail. I don't have a link.
You do not have to mill your slide. There are dovetail mounts that will work. I installed one from EGW and I am very happy with it.
