I notice the mags now have ribs which I assume are for a tighter fit in the mag well. The interior of the well has always had the reverse ribs.

Can anyone tell me why?
I would assume that your mags are 16 rounders.... these are 15 rounders...
the 16 rounders from S&W do not have the ribs neither

Yeah, I kinda jumped in with both feet. I just wish I'd given the 99 series guns a try a long time ago. One of, if not the best of all current pistols out there. This set up has been giving me trouble though.

Gee whiz Ceptor,

That kind of setup would give me trouble too. Here in Kalifornia it would land me in jail for years.

Still, that .45 SW99 sure looks b*tchin' among all those P99s.

What is the problem....... got the lower power recoil spring ???
I know little to nothing about cans... but know there is a low power recoil spring for this kind of setup

With the can on the gun consistently fails to RTB about a 1/4". The reduced power recoil spring is my next step. I should have just ordered it with the barrel from Earl's but I figured the booster built into the EVO-9 would eliminate the need for it. Especially since the can has been 100% on a couple other pistols.

That's weird, I just picked up my Evo-9 yesterday and put about 200 rounds through it and it worked perfectly. My gun is a stock P99 with an Earls barrel.

Maybe the booster spring is designed for a different gun.

What ammo are you using? I used Rem UMC 147 gr.

Well here's my P-99, naked from the muzzle on:

And with a teeny G-String on:

And a bikini (Thanks Oliver):

And the way I like her best, since she's all mine, with a proper Iron Maiden attached to her sweet little body:

Jeff

I couldn't forget my P-99's little cousin, however.

Sans thread protector:

With protector in place:

And the best way to shoot her, with her Pilot attached:

Jeff
