So I got my Y2K P99 today.  It is NIB.  It was from an estate sale.  I feel bad about using it as a shooter.  It has this really nice pin striping on it.  It comes in a really cool case.  Target, certificate, video, tools, it is all there.

Should I drop the striker on a cartridge?

The only wear on it is from people racking the slide.

What should I do?

You know already what I think....

Keep it and buy my P99/AS thats for sale... or sell it and still buy my P99

I have a Y2K just like yours gokyo, yet to be shot, and it will stay that way... I put the wear and tear on a standard P99. For the price you paid for your Y2K model compared to the "going price", I'd buy another P99 and shoot it and save the Y2K. You essentially will have two pistols for the price of one...Your Y2K will do nothing but appreciate in value if unfired...

If it's unfired I'd probably leave it that way.

I was working on trading for a previously fired Y2K P99 about a month ago but the seller backed out. That one I would have used since it had already been fired.
