I talked with my dr. about lasik, she said it wouldn't really be practical for me and would only be a temporary fix, as fast as my eyes are changing. Every year my prescription changes, so that would last for a year or so.
Bummer. :(

Well, I won't have this problem anymore soon. Was diagnosed with cataracts a couple of months ago, waiting on the surgery now. Supposedly the only glasses I will need now are readers, the kind you get at a drug store. Will see how that turns out. As of last I was running the dominant eye close distance, other eye far distance. It works for me anyway.

Battery life is so good these days that it's not really an issue.

Not that good. Batteries are a failure point which will fail at the most inopportune time. Also these red dots still suffer from washout on bright days or if you are using a decent weapon light/flashlight.
